I started with a camera and came back to what mattered.
Photography was the first creative work that felt completely natural to me. Over the years I built companies, brands, and technology, but the camera remained the way I paid closest attention to people.
I co-founded Fernwood Hills with my wife and family. It is forty acres of forest near London, Ontario, an original 1960s farmhouse, a studio, and the place where most of my photographs now begin. Building it taught me that the most meaningful work is usually quiet, useful, and rooted in real life.
That is what I want photographs to feel like too. Warm without being sentimental. Beautiful without becoming polished beyond recognition. Directed when you need help, then left alone long enough for something honest to happen.

I'm married, a dad to two boys, and old enough to understand how quickly ordinary seasons become the ones you miss. I make photographs for that future version of you.
